Organized by Companhia de Electricidade de Macau - CEM, S.A. (CEM) and co-organized by the Macau Drone Aerial Photography Association (MDAPA), the award ceremony of the “Green Macao from Above” Drone Videography Contest was successfully held today at the CEM Building. The contest encouraged citizens to capture and document Macao’s sustainable development, showcasing the city’s green charm through the unique lens of drone aerial videography. The theme of the event was “Green Macao from Above,” covering two major areas: Sustainable Living (electric vehicle transportation, green buildings, eco-friendly communities, etc.) and Natural Ecology (green landscapes, coastlines, parks, etc.). The contest received an enthusiastic response, collecting over 70 entries from 53 participants.

Officiating guests at the award ceremony included Ma Chi Son, President of the General Assembly of MDAPA, Kuok Keng Man, President of MDAPA and Wong Keng In, President of the Board of Supervisors of MDAPA, alongside Jaclyn Iun, Senior Manager of the Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Communications Office of CEM, who presented cash prizes and certificates to the winners.

CEM Senior Manager Jaclyn Iun stated that this drone videography contest provided a platform for citizens and aerial photography enthusiasts to showcase their aerial videography techniques while strengthening the promotional effect of environmental protection concepts. Winning entries will be incorporated into CEM’s future publicity and corporate video productions, bringing information on sustainable development and natural ecology deep into the community through fresh aerial perspectives. CEM will continue to promote energy conservation, carbon reduction, and green living concepts, working hand-in-hand with Macao residents to build a low-carbon smart city.

MDAPA President of the General Assembly Ma Chi Son thanked CEM for attentively hosting this event, which built a professional, open, and highly socially meaningful display platform for local aerial photography enthusiasts. Aerial photography breaks through traditional ground limitations with a unique high-altitude perspective, transforming the abstract “sustainability concept” into vivid and intuitive urban scenery. The participating works demonstrated high technical levels and artistic accomplishments, injecting fresh energy into promoting Macao’s green image.

The judging panel for this contest was jointly formed by representatives from CEM and MDAPA. The evaluation was based on the criteria of relevance to the theme (40%), aerial videography techniques and perspectives (30%), and creativity, editing, and artistic expression (30%). After multiple rounds of rigorous review, the Champion, 1^st Runner-up, 2^nd Runner-up, and five Merit Award winners were selected.
