In support of the "National Security Education Exhibition," Companhia de Electricidade de Macau - CEM, S.A. (CEM) organized visits for its management team and employees from various departments on 21 and 22 April. A total of 85 participants attended, reflecting CEM’s profound commitment to national security and its ongoing dedication to fostering a comprehensive safety culture within the organization.

The exhibition was jointly organized by the Macau SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR for the ninth consecutive year. Under the theme “Coordinating Development and Security: Safeguarding the New Journey of the 15th Five-Year Plan”, the exhibition showcased the core concepts of the Holistic Approach to National Security, security risks in key sectors and the nation’s latest achievements in balancing socio-economic development with national safety.

On 21 April, Bernie Leong, Chairman of CEM Executive Committee, led the CEM management team in exploring the vital link between national security, social stability, and economic progress. On the following day, Benjamin Yue, Principal Advisor to the Executive Committee, led a group of new-generation employees from various departments to participate in another session, fostering a better understanding of national security and identifying practical directions for implementing safety responsibilities within the public utilities sector.

CEM has always placed safety at the forefront of its operations and actively aligns itself with the policy directives of the Macau SAR Government, continuously encouraging staff participation in national security training and related activities. Looking forward, CEM will continue to support and promote national security education, contributing to the enduring prosperity and stability of the Macau community.
