SUEP Rector Gu Chunhua stated, “CEM possesses rich practical experience in energy services, power system construction, and operational management, while SUEP, as a university with distinctive features in energy and electricity, has always been committed to promoting the development of the national energy industry, strengthening the integration of industry and education, and actively serving the industry. Through this cooperation, both parties will adhere to the principles of complementary advantages, collaborative innovation, and mutual development, to cultivate more high-quality local electricity technical talent for Macau, while promoting SUEP’s disciplinary development and research transformation, jointly building a new landscape of university-enterprise cooperation and industry-academia win-win outcomes.”
Bernie Leong, Chairman of CEM Executive Committee stated, “Talent is the core driving force of enterprise development and the key to the continuous progress of Macau’s electricity industry. The cooperation between CEM and SUEP reflects CEM’s commitment to cultivating local professional talent. By combining SUEP’s academic strengths with CEM’s practical experience, CEM looks forward to promoting local youth employment, deepening professional training, strengthening the reserve of electricity professionals, further enhancing the overall technical level of the electricity industry, and making greater contributions to Macau’s energy security and sustainable development.”
