Macau, 30 September 2025
In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival and to continue promoting the spirit of care and compassion, the CEM Ambassadors Team recently visited the Lar de Cuidados Especiais da Obra das Mães to deliver mooncakes and gifts to 56 seniors, offering festive blessings and sharing the joy of reunion and togetherness during this special festival.
Hellen Lok, Director of Human Resources and Sustainability Department and Jaclyn Iun, Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Communications Office of CEM, along with 7 CEM Ambassadors visited the Lar de Cuidados Especiais da Obra das Mães. With the introduction from the social workers at the nursing home, the Ambassadors learned about the facility’s daily operations and the living conditions of the seniors. Following this, the Ambassadors engaged in warm and heartfelt conversations with the seniors, listening to their life stories and experiences. To foster stronger connections, the team also arranged interactive games, allowing the seniors to enjoy a delightful and relaxed atmosphere. The room was filled with laughter, and the event was marked by a harmonious and cheerful ambiance. Before leaving, the Ambassadors presented each senior with thoughtfully prepared low-sugar mooncakes and gifts. Seeing the smiles on their faces when they received the gifts and shared their feelings with each other, the whole event concluded in a joyful atmosphere.
The Mid-Autumn Festival symbolizes reunion and harmony, and respecting and caring for the elderly is a cherished virtue in Chinese culture. As an integral part of the community, CEM has always upheld its corporate social responsibility, actively supports community needs and spreads positive energy throughout society. Looking ahead, CEM will continue to join hands with more organizations to extend love and care to those in need, ensuring that compassion and kindness flow through every corner of Macau, just like the electricity that powers the city.
