To promote the values of respecting life and caring for animals, the CEM Ambassadors Team recently organized a visit to the dog shelter of the Society for the Protection of Animals (Macau) (Anima). The event aimed to raise awareness about the situation of stray animals in Macau while conveying the important message of "adopt, don’t abandon." It also sought to foster a spirit of respect for life and active goodwill.

Currently, the shelter houses over 400 dogs and 300 cats, most of which are strays or rescued animals waiting for loving citizens to adopt them. On the day of the event, Jaclyn Iun, Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Communications of CEM, along with 14 CEM Ambassadors, attentively listened to the staff's introduction. They learned about the adoption process, basic medical care for animals, and daily care knowledge. Participants also had the chance to walk the dogs from the shelter, engaging in warm interactions with them. Before leaving, the Ambassadors donated dog food to the association, providing support for the shelter animals and spreading love and warmth.

During the event, Ivy Vong from CEM Customer Service department shared, “Walking with the dogs together is not only an interesting experience, but also a spiritual exchange. As a member of the CEM Ambassadors Team, I look forward to more community activities like this in the future to spread love and happiness to the society.” Yumi Fong from CEM Human Resources and Sustainability department shared, “I love animals. Seeing the dogs' eyes longing for love, I hope that more people will realize that adopting an animal is not just giving them a home, but also a sign of respect for life."

As a member of the community, CEM is committed to spreading positive energy through various activities, aiming to promote the concept of "pet integration" among colleagues and within society, thereby contributing to the creation of a pet-friendly community. CEM will continue to organize more social activities to unite the strength of the community and contribute to building a harmonious community.
