"230V Macau Warmth" Photo Contest Concludes Successfully

The "230V Macau Warmth" Photo Contest, organized by Companhia de Electricidade de Macau - CEM, S.A. (CEM) and co-organized by the Macao Digital Photography Association (MDPA), centered on the theme "capturing Macau's daily life through photography and promoting artistic popularization and innovation". The contest attracted 140 photography enthusiasts who submitted over 730 entries, showcasing diverse elements including traditional festivals, urban infrastructure, and community life.

The award ceremony was held at the CEM Building, with Yen Kuacfu, MDPA President of Board of General Assembly, Gigi Cheong, President of Board of Directors and Che Peng Ion, General Adviser; and Cecilia Nip, CEM Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Communications Office Director, presenting awards as guests of honor. The judging panel was comprised of professional representatives appointed by CEM and the MDPA, and the entries were based on three key criteria: "Relevance to theme," "Creative expression," and "Technical composition." Champion Maria Ferreira Sin remarked, "The concept of my work is inspired by the vibrant drone performances over Nam Van Lake, which enrich the night-time entertainment for tourists and residents while boosting nighttime economic development. I hope CEM will continue to organize similar cultural events in the future, collaborating with all sectors of society to document Macau's development and changes through imagery, bringing art into the community, and collectively capturing more of Macau's touching 'warmth'."
