In order to deepen employees' understanding of national security, Companhia de Electricidade de Macau - CEM, S.A. (CEM) recently arranged employees to visit the "National Security Education Exhibition" jointly organized by the Macau SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macau SAR. The group was led by Bernie Leong, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Benjamin Yue, Principal Advisor to the Executive Committee.

To achieve long-term stability in the country and satisfy the people's yearning for a better life, safeguarding national security is the top priority. This exhibition highlights the great achievements made in regard to coordinating the country’s development and security, calmly responding to changes and the pandemic of the century, and promoting national security in the new era under the guidance of the overall national security concept. The exhibition also highlights various measures and achievements of the Macau SAR Government to steadily advance "One Country, Two Systems" and safeguard national security.

Bernie Leong said that “safeguarding national security is always on the way, and we must never lose pace. The exhibition shows visitors the development process of the country and Macau in the past year. As a member of the Macau society, CEM employees should not only stick to their posts to ensure the safe and stable power supply in Macau, but also adhere to the overall national security concept, consciously fulfill the responsibility of safeguarding national security, support and strengthen the desirable situation of "patriots ruling Macau", as well as contribute to national security and the prosperity and stability of Macau society.”

CEM encourages employees and their families to visit the "National Security Education Exhibition" online and offline to build consensus and work together to ensure the stable and long-term implementation of "One Country, Two Systems".
