In order to promote the development of herd immunity in Macau to prevent virus transmission, as well as in response to the recent changes in the pandemic in Guangdong Province, CEM actively responds to the pandemic prevention policies and appeals of the Macau SAR Government, encouraging employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible, and launched an incentive program accordingly.

As early as the end of February this year, the Macau SAR Government launched the reservation system for the COVID-19 vaccination to the public. CEM has encouraged employees to get vaccinated and cooperated with the Health Bureau to arrange a vaccination session for employees. Frontline employees are able to leave the office to receive the vaccine shot during working hours by means of “medical consultation”. Those who experience side effects after receiving the vaccination are given time off to rest.

The incentive program provides every employee who gets vaccinated with one day off on the day of vaccination or the following day to ensure that there is sufficient time to rest after the vaccination. Additionally, all employees who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 can sign up for a lucky draw, which will be held from mid-June to the end of August, lasting for 12 weeks. CEM will give out prizes every week and there will also be an ultimate raffle.

Community vaccination plays a crucial role in the fight against the pandemic. CEM hopes that employees can work together to increase the local vaccination rate in Macau while protecting their personal health.
