CEM management team visits National Security Education Exhibition
Macau, 28 April 2021
Safeguarding national security is the responsibility and duty of citizens. To strengthen CEM employees' awareness of national security and their patriotism for the motherland and for Macau, the CEM management team, led by Bernie Leong, Chairman of CEM Executive Committee and Benjamin Yue, Principal Advisor to CEM Executive Committee, visited the National Security Education Exhibition co-organized by the Macau SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macau SAR today.
Bernie Leong said that the exhibition makes use of succinct texts, over 300 photos and nearly 20 video clips to expound on four topics – “National security amid unprecedented changes in a century”, “Upholding a holistic view of national security to achieve extensive national security architecture”, “Safeguarding national security and ensuring the stability of the ‘One Country, Two Systems’ Policy”, and “Safeguarding national security is the obligation of all Chinese people”. The exhibition also demonstrates how Chinese people are standing as one and making concerted efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The challenges faced by medical workers are one of the highlights. Visitors take home the message that biosafety risks may also threaten national stability and political continuity. Macau SAR Government has implemented decisive countermeasures against the pandemic in accordance with national anti-pandemic policies, and achieved satisfactory results compared with neighboring regions. During the pandemic, CEM has been proactive in adhering to the Macau SAR Government’s guidelines by making the necessary arrangements and taking measures to ensure power supply stability.
CEM encourages its staff and their family members to pay a visit to the National Security Education Exhibition, with an aim of strengthening their understanding of the national security concept as a whole and enhancing their sense of responsibility towards safeguarding national security.
