CEM’s Customer Service Centre in Macau to resume business next Monday

CEM’s Customer Service Centre located in CEM Building on Estrada D. Maria II in Macau will resume business on 17 February (Monday), while Taipa Customer Service Centre will remain closed.

Arrangements for Macau Customer Service Centre are as follows:

  • Service hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:45pm
  • When entering the Customer Service Centre, customers are required to wear a mask, have their body temperature checked and fill out the health declaration form. In order to reduce the risk of virus transmission, thorough cleaning and disinfection will be performed at the Customer Service Centre every two hours, during which our service will be suspended. See below for details.

Meter reading service will also be resumed at the same time. In order to protect the safety of employees and customers, if the meter is located inside the customer’s residence or shop, our meter-reader will not enter to read the meter, and the electricity cost will be estimated based on the average electricity consumption in the last 12 months. Customers may pay the bill first and put their mind at ease. Any differences will be adjusted in the meter reading next month. Customers may also “submit self-reading” before the Reading Date, which is listed in the bill. CEM will issue the bill based on the self-reported reading. If an estimated bill has been issued, customers may call Info Line 2833 9911 to update the bill by submitting a self-reading.

CEM once again urges citizens to minimize going out during the epidemic. Visiting the Customer Service Centre is not necessary as CEM eService offers one-stop service to manage electricity accounts and handle various applications. If Tariff Group A customers did not receive the January electricity bill due to postal delay, they may go to “Quick Access” on CEM website homepage (www.cem-macau.com) and check the bill using their contract number, and make the payment via MPay and online banking. The relevant electricity cost will be included in February’s bill calculation. If customers fail to pay on time, CEM will neither disconnect the power during the period nor levy a late charge.

CEM will timely adjust its measures according to the progress of the epidemic and make announcement on CEM Facebook page, WeChat and website. For any enquiries, call CEM’s Info Line 2833 9911.
