CEM continues to support local cultural and creative activities to invite local singers to participate in charity concert

Companhia de Electricidade de Macau - CEM, S.A. (CEM) will hold “Electricity x Culture and Creativity – “Music Power-up” Charity Concert” on 6 December at 8pm at Macao Contemporary Art Centre – Navy Yard No. 2. This is the third round of “Electricity x Culture and Creativity” activity since its launch in 2017. Tickets will start selling from today with limited quantity, act fast!

Electricity is more than to support the basic needs, but also enriches our lives. In view of this, CEM “Electricity x Culture and Creativity” series of activities has launched since 2017. The first activity was “Electricity x Culture and Creativity - Pillar Box Revitalization with Art” event by inviting 20 local artists and illustrators from Macau Artist Society and Macao Illustrators Association to revitalize the low-voltage pillar boxes with a brand-new look with a view in enhancing the city’s artistic and cultural feel. Following the success of the event, CEM continued to organize the “Electricity x Culture and Creativity - Customer Substation Revitalization with Art” in 2018 to further promote power facilities through artistic revitalization. This time the target were the bigger-sized compact customer substations that owns the size of a small shipping container, receiving overwhelming response from the public again.

This year through a Concert, CEM hopes to provide more performance opportunities for local young artists as well as bring different groups and classes of people together, link electricity to the public and power up their life with music. Performers include: Kevin Cheng, Scamper, Ferdinand Choi, Kylamary Ma, Chon Chan, Rebel Rabbit, and Life Band from Fuhong Society of Macau. Ticker fare is at MOP120, with discounts of purchase at MOP100 for the following people: 1) Early Bird: purchasing before 1 Nov; 2) Group tickets: purchasing four or more; 3) Student/ Disability/ Senior Citizen: Macau full-time students, disabilities, senior citizens who are 65 years old or above (Presentation of valid identity documents is required). CEM will donate all the revenue of the Concert to Fuhong Society of Macau in order to support its social enterprises, so as to benefit more people in need. Fuhong Society of Macau was founded by a group of volunteers in 2003, the Fuhong Society of Macau is a non-profit social service organization dedicated to providing diverse services for persons with intellectual disabilities and persons with mental illness in rehabilitation. In addition, the Concert is sponsored by Macau Coca-Cola Beverage Co., Ltd., Redwood Arts Education, and Tops Arts Education Centre.
