Companhia de Electricidade de Macau - CEM, S.A. (CEM) Ambassadors Team, led by Mr. Iun Iok Meng, Advisor to CEM Executive Committee, visited Canossiano Vila Madalena Institution on 19 September and delivered gift packs and Laisee to over 80 seniors in the hope of sending care and blessings to senior citizens during Mid-Autumn Festival.

During the visit, Ambassadors had a warm conversation with the seniors to realize their heath and living conditions while giving them the gift packs. Ambassadors also wished them good health and seniors shared their life experiences in return. The visit was joyful and warm. Ambassadors were happy with seniors’ smiling face.

Ambassadors visited the facilities of the institution under the guidance of the social worker of Canossiano Vila Madalena Institution. They learnt about the everyday life of the seniors.

CEM Ambassadors Team was established in 2004, which was the first batch of institutions to set up a volunteer team in Macau, with over 70 staff volunteers participated. In addition to visiting seniors living in elderly centres, the Team executes Community Program and participates in various charitable community activities on a regular basis, in a bid to share love and show care to vulnerable groups. “During festivals,” said Monique Chan, from Customer Services Department, “visiting elderly people can give blessings and show our care to them. On the other hand, we also hope to deliver a message to the community to concern and attach importance to elderly people, which can promote community harmony and is very meaningful.”
