Concerns have been received from individual residents about the increase of their electricity costs due to consumption estimates. It was due to the impact of the typhoon in August and the failure to carry out meter reading. According to the Standard Conditions of Electricity Supply, some of the customers' electricity consumption will be estimated based on the average electricity consumption during the most recent 12 months with remark stated on the bill to indicate it is an estimated meter reading.

Due to the high consumption of July to September, the estimated bill may be lower compared to the month of high consumption. When the meter is successfully read, the customer may find that the amount of the adjusted bills has risen. In fact, it is the estimated electricity consumption being recalculated according to actual reading, and there is no over charge.
