The “Happy Share, Power Fun” Video Competition, organized by CEM and co-organized by Macau Academy of Cinematic Art of Macau University of Science and Technology, and School of Arts of Macao Polytechnic Institute is open for submissions from now until 31 August 2017.

Electricity is closely related to our daily life, brings great comfort and convenience, and enriches our lives. As video sharing is becoming popular on the Internet, CEM aims to let the participants in the Competition to share their interesting and convenient experience of using electricity in daily life by making funny videos.

The judging panel consists of representatives of the organizer and co-organizers, who will follow the judging criteria including creativity (40%), shooting and presentation technique (30%) and relevance to the theme (10%). Public voting will account for the remaining 20%. Entries selected by the judging panel will be uploaded on CEM’s Facebook Fan Page www.facebook.com/CEMMacao on 11 September 2017 for public voting by giving “Like” during 11 – 29 September.

The champion, first runner-up and second runner-up will be awarded MOP10,000, MOP8,000 and MOP6,000 respectively and the three winners of the Excellence award will each receive MOP1,000. The prizes for the Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Shooting, Best Editing and Best Actor/Actress will be MOP2,000 each. The entry that receives the most number of “Like” will receive MOP3,000. Public voters will have a chance to win one of two iPad Minis.

Entrants can choose any theme that is relevant to electricity and form their teams to enter the Competition without age limit. Each team must comprise of director, screenwriter, cameraperson, editor and actor/actress. One of the team members must be Macau resident.

Each participating team can submit up to three entries. Entries must be in the form of video and should not exceed two minutes. Entries should be submitted in MPG or MP4 format with resolution of 720p or above. The video must be produced in Chinese with Chinese subtitles.
