CEM held luncheon to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival

22 September 2015, Macau

Employees participating in the “CEM Ambassadors 1+1 Elderly Program” held a karaoke luncheon for elders to celebrate the approaching Mid-Autumn Festival. The party took place on 21 September at the Plaza Restaurant.

Before the luncheon, Cecilia Nip, CEM Communications and Public Affairs Office Senior Manager delivered a welcoming speech, wishing everybody to have a happy festival and good health. Afterwards, many different kinds of delicacies and low-sugar moon cakes were provided for all to savour, during which a lucky draw was also held. Employees of CEM and the elders sang their favorite songs and enjoyed themselves amid laughter and conversation. Through the activity, the elders enjoyed a happy and heart-warming luncheon.

Caring for the solitary elderly and expressing our empathy for them can make them feel less lonely and realize that love exists in this world. For this purpose, CEM and Peng On Tung Tele-assistance Service jointly launched “CEM Ambassadors 1+1 Elderly Program”, starting this May. The program pairs one CEM Ambassador with one elderly. Apart from regular telephone communications and greetings, more diversified services like household power safety inspection, change LED bulbs, bring them to visit Coloane Power Station and organize regular visits with healthy foods are also provided with the support of CEM.
