Benefited from the continued low international fuel prices, local power generating cost has been decreased. According to the calculation under the concession contract, the 2nd quarter Tariff Clause Adjustment (TCA) will be lowered to 36 cents per kWh.

CEM continues to offer subsidy to Tariff Group A customers, who are residential and small & medium enterprises customers accounted for over 99% of the total customer base. TCA will be reduced from the contractual calculated value of 36 cents to 34 cents per kWh, representing a reduction of 2 cents per kWh.

On the other hand, TCA for Tariff Group B, C and D customers will be at 36 cents per kWh in accordance with the contractual calculated value, 6 cents per kWh lower than that in the previous quarter.

This reduction signifies the importance of local power generation and the advantage of selecting the best energy mix. Local generation also plays a vital role in enhancing the overall power supply reliability in Macau.
