Macau, 16 July 2014

According to the calculation under the concession contract, the 3rd quarter Tariff Clause Adjustment (TCA) will be 46 cents per kWh, an increase of 1 cent per kWh in comparison with the previous quarter.

Considering its social responsibility fulfillment and the impact of a lifting TCA to the community, with the support of Macau SAR Government, CEM announced that the TCA of Tariff Group A (mainly residential customers and small and medium enterprises supplied with low voltage, covering more than 99% of all customers) of the 3rd quarter of 2014 will maintain unchanged at 36 cents per kWh compared with the previous quarter, which means the subsidy for tariff Group A customers will be increased from 9 cents to 10 cents.

On the other hand, TCA of Tariff Group B, C and D will be adjusted to 46 cents per kWh according to the contractual calculated value, which is 1 cent more than the previous quarter.

CEM has been reducing the receipt of the TCA to manage the electricity tariff rise since 2008 as part of its commitment to fulfill its corporate social responsibility.
