Power Restoration Arrangements
As the water level has started to recede, CEM will use remote equipment control to restore power to some customers within the next half hour. This quick restoration is made possible not only by the early preparation of resources and personnel, but also ongoing enhancements and optimizations of power facilities in low-lying areas. These improvements include optimizing the medium-voltage power grid structure, elevating power equipment, installing flood barriers in customer substations, reinforcing cable entry seals, installing flood alarm systems, water-immersion sensors, and pumps to continuously improve the disaster prevention and resilience of power facilities.
Additionally, residents are reminded to unplug sensitive appliances (such as computers, TVs, and air conditioners) to protect them and prevent a sudden power surge when electricity is restored. It is recommended to leave one light on to indicate when power has been restored.
After power restoration, please first check if your electrical installations are functioning properly and ensure it is safe before resuming use.
For customers who have not yet had their power restored, do not touch any electrical equipment to avoid danger. If you have any inquiries regarding electrical safety, please call 2833 9922.
