A delegation from Macau Daily News Readers’ Charity Fund, led by vice chairman Lok Po and president Leong Vai Tac, paid a visit to CEM yesterday and were warmly received by CEM Chief Executive Officer Franklin Willemyns. CEM praised that the “Walk for a Million” campaign has become the largest and most iconic public welfare activity in Macao. This year, CEM will organize a team of 300 staffs to participate in the campaign, and will donate MOP 100,000 to sponsor the activity.
At 15:00 yesterday, Macau Daily News Readers’ Charity Fund vice chairman Lok Po, president Leong Vai Tac, vice president Hoi Kin Cheong, Wong Pan Seng, Ung Chu Pong, and a charity fund member Lam Cheok Wa paid a visit to CEM and were warmly received by CEM Chief Executive Officer Franklin Willemyns, Executive Directors Bernie Leong, João Travassos da Costa and Jorge Vieira, Executive Committee Advisor Iun Iok Meng, and Communications and Public Affairs Senior Manager Cecilia Nip.
Franklin Willemyns said that CEM will continue to organize a team to participate in the “Walk for a Million” campaign this year, and so far, the enrollment has reached 300 staffs. The annual event of “Walk for a Million” has become the largest and most iconic public welfare activity in Macao. As a local company, CEM has the responsibility to participate in and support local activities. Leong Vai Tac expressed his gratitude to CEM for its support in manpower and money donation. By organizing staff to participate in the “Walk for a Million” campaign, the company can offer assistance to the needy while also facilitate a closer relationship between staffs to raise staff morale.
