Companhia de Electricidade de Macau - CEM, S.A. (CEM) will hold “Electricity x Culture and Creativity – “Music Power-up” Charity Concert” on 6 December at 8pm at Macao Contemporary Art Centre – Navy Yard No. 2 to support local culture and creativity industry. The Concert is sponsored by Macau Coca-Cola Beverage Co., Ltd., Redwood Arts Education, and Tops Arts Education. Performers including Scamper, Rebel Rabbit, Life Band, Ferdinand Choi, Chon Chan, Kevin Cheng and Kylamary Ma, of which Life Band is the first rock band in Macau composed of people with autism and mental illness as well as able-bodied people, bringing out the message of music without boundaries. CEM will donate all the revenue of the Concert without deducting the cost to Fuhong Society of Macau in order to support its social enterprises, so as to benefit more people in need. Fuhong Society of Macau was founded by a group of volunteers in 2003, which is a non-profit social service organization dedicated to providing diverse services for people with intellectual disabilities and autism as well as people with mental illness in rehabilitation.
The Concert is one of the activities of CEM “Electricity x Culture and Creativity” series, which has started from 2017, through inviting the artists from Macau Artist Society and Macao Illustrators Association to revitalize CEM’s pillar boxes and customer substations, the new looks have received overwhelming responses from the public.
