Regional power grid upgrade program
To reduce the impact on citizens’ daily commute, CEM has been actively cooperating with the inter-departmental road work coordination mechanism of the Macau SAR Government. Repeated road excavations are avoided by strictly controlling the scope of road works and the duration to be carrying out in an orderly manner.
CEM will soon conduct power grid upgrade works in the following areas. Based on future power demand, customers in these areas can now submit applications to CEM for increasing subscribed demand before the specified deadline, so as to avoid prolonged application due to prohibited repeated road excavations in the future.

Customers should be aware that the application for the increase of subscribed demand will involve cable connection fee, and the related works may require repair or upgrade due to the aging of communal electrical installations in the building.
