‘Farm to Table’ Workshop | CEM - Companhia de Electricidade de Macau

Objectives:

To foster a deeper connection between families and their food sources by organizing adult-child pairs to visit a local farm, gaining firsthand knowledge of food origins. Guided by instructors and a professional chef, participants will engage in meal preparation using seasonal, community-supported ingredients.

Participants:

Macao Residential Identity Card holders, registered as a group of two, one adult aged 18 or above and one child aged 6 to 12.

Workshop:

Session A: 13 September (Sunday), 10:00am – 12:30pm

Session B: 13 September (Sunday), 2:00pm – 4:30pm

Registration:

Interested parties must be a fan of CEM’s Facebook page, tag 5 friends in the Facebook post and fill out the online registration form during registration period (17 to 26 August, 6pm). Enrollment priority will be first given to those who have never participated in CEM’s other similar activities. If the number of registrations exceeds the quota of the workshop, applicants will be drawn by a random computer process.

The admission list will be posted on CEM’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/CEMMacao) in the afternoon on 28 August. Admitted participants will receive a confirmation phone call and e-mail.

Terms and conditions:

Language: Mostly in Cantonese, with some English (with Chinese translation);
CEM staff are not entitled to enroll;
Prior to registration, all participants are required to read and agree to the rules and guidelines, and herewith adhere to the rules of the workshop;
Successful applicants must pay a deposit of MOP 200 via bank transfer (per pair) within the specified deadline and reply by email as notification, otherwise their admission will be cancelled, and no refund will be given;
The deposit will be refunded in full on the day upon completion of the workshop;
Registration is limited to one session per group. Participants cannot change to another session, request cancellation or transfer quota after enrollment confirmation. Deposit will not be refunded if the participant is absent from the workshop;
Transportation will be provided by CEM e-Bus from Macau & Taipa; participants shall provide the original deposit slip and Identity Card for verification. Only verified participants are allowed to attend the workshop;
The collection of personal data of participants is solely for the purpose of this workshop and any related follow-up, ensuring compliance with the provisions of Law no. 8/2005 “Personal Data Protection Law”;
The workshop will be cancelled under the condition of Typhoon Signal no. 8 or above. The activity will be rescheduled with dates notified in due course;
All participants take part at their own risk and responsibility. CEM shall not be held responsible for any injury during the workshop;
Participants should agree that photos or videos will be taken by CEM during the workshop for promotional usage;
CEM has the right to make necessary amendments and additional interpretation without further notice.
