Objective:

With the guidance of professional instructors, participants will learn how to use electrical appliances to make chiffon cakes in the likeness of CEM’s popular mascots, "Eco" and "Sparky". Parents will accompany their children to experience the fun of electric baking and take their cakes home to share with their family and friends.

Participants:

Macau Residential Identity Card holders, registered as a group of two, one adult aged 18 or above and one child aged 5 to 12.

Class

Class A: 23 August (Sunday) 10:00am – 1:00pm

Class B: 23 August (Sunday) 3:00pm – 6:00pm

Interested parties must be a fan of CEM’s Facebook page, tag 5 friends in the Facebook post and fill out the online registration form during registration period (6 July till 3 August 10:00am). Enrollment priority will be first given to those who have never participated in CEM’s "Electric Baking Class" or “Electric Cooking Class”. If the number of registrations exceeds the quota of the Baking class, applicants will be drawn by a random computer process.

Admission Announcement:

The admission list will be posted on CEM’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/CEMMacao) in the afternoon of 4 August. Admitted participants will receive a confirmation phone call and e-mail.

Terms and conditions:

1. Language: Cantonese;
2. CEM staff are not entitled to enroll;
3. Prior to registration, all participants are required to read and agree to the rules and guidelines, and herewith adhere to the rules of the baking class;
4. Successful applicants must pay a deposit of MOP200 within the designated time period. They can choose to pay with cash at the CEM Building or CEM Taipa Customer Service Centre, or transfer the deposit to the designated bank account. Applicants who pay via bank transfer must notify CEM by replying to the email before the deadline, otherwise their admission will be cancelled and no refund will be given;
5. The deposit will be refunded in full on the day upon completion of the class;
6. Registration is limited to one baking class per person. Participants cannot change to another class, request cancellation or transfer quota after enrollment confirmation. Deposit will not be refunded if the participant is absent from the class;
7. Participants should arrive at the venue 10 minutes before the class commences and provide the original deposit slip and Identity Card for verification. Only verified participants are allowed to attend the class;
8. The collection of personal data of participants is solely for the purpose of this class and any related follow-up, ensuring compliance with the provisions of Law no. 8/2005 “Personal Data Protection Law”;
9. The baking class will be cancelled under the condition of Typhoon Signal no. 8 or above. The activity will be rescheduled with dates notified in due course;
10. All participants take part at their own risk and responsibility. CEM shall not be held responsible for any injury during the class;
11. Participants should agree that photos or videos will be taken by CEM during the baking class for promotional usage;
12. CEM has the right to make necessary amendments and additional interpretation without further notice.
