“Green Macao from Above” Drone Videography Contest

Objective
Through the lens of drone aerial videography, capture and document Macao’s sustainable development from a unique perspective, showcasing the city’s distinctive charm in sustainable living and natural ecology.
Eligibility
Participants must be at least 18 years old and hold a Macao Resident Identity Card or valid residence proof.
Submission Requirements
Using drones as the photographic device, all videos must be filmed during the daytime and focus on the theme “Green Macao from Above,” including but not limited to:
✔ Sustainable Living: Electric vehicle transportation, green buildings, eco-friendly communities, etc.
✔ Natural Ecology: Macao’s green landscapes, coastlines, parks, etc.
Note: According to the “Air Navigation Regulation of Macao,” participants conducting drone flight activities must comply with the relevant provisions and restrictions. For details, refer to the Macao SAR Government Civil Aviation Authority website: https://www.aacm.gov.mo/en/home.
Specifications
• Submissions must be in MP4 format with a resolution no lower than 1920×1080 (1080). Video length should range between 30 and 45 seconds, and each file must not exceed 500MB.
• There are no restrictions on background music, but participants must ensure copyright permissions or use royalty-free music.
• Moderate post-editing is allowed, including color correction, editing, background music, and subtitles, but AI-generated elements or infringing materials are prohibited.
File Naming
Submission Number_Participant Name_Video Title (e.g., 1_Chan Tai Man_Green Macao from Above.mp4).
Originality and Safety Statement
• Submissions must be original works by participants and must not have won prizes in other competitions.
• Participants must ensure that the filming process complies with safety regulations, avoiding restricted flight zones (unless approved) or violating others’ privacy.
• Copyright infringement or other legal violations are not allowed.
Number of Submissions
Each participant may submit up to two videos.

Registration and Submission Method
Complete the “Online Registration Form” with personal information and video descriptions, and upload the entries simultaneously.
Prizes
Champion (1 Winner): MOP 5,000 and a certificate
1st Runner-up (1 Winner): MOP 4,000 and a certificate
2nd Runner-up (1 Winner): MOP 3,000 and a certificate
Merit Awards (5 Winners): MOP 1,000 and a certificate
Judging Criteria
A judging panel composed of representatives from the organizer and co-organizer will evaluate entries based on the following criteria:
1. Relevance to the theme (40%)
2. Aerial videography techniques and perspectives (30%)
3. Creativity, editing, and artistic expression (30%)
Announcement of Results
The list of winners will be announced on 20 July 2026 on the CEM Facebook page, and winners will be personally notified.
Notes
1. Participants agree and authorize Companhia de Electricidade de Macau – CEM, S.A. (CEM) to have permanent and gratuitous usage rights for the submitted works. CEM has the right to use the videos for promotion, exhibitions, websites, social media, and any future corporate video production without prior notice or additional compensation.
2. CEM may perform necessary edits (such as cutting or adjusting music) on the works to meet usage requirements.
3. If the submitted works violate originality, shooting regulations, or other legal provisions, participants must bear legal responsibility. CEM reserves the right to cancel eligibility and revoke prizes.
4. Participants must ensure that the files are complete and can be played properly. If files are damaged, do not meet formatting requirements, or cannot be accessed due to encryption, CEM reserves the right to reject them without prior notice.
5. Each participant can only win one prize at most.
6. The collection of participants’ personal data is solely for the purposes of this event and related follow-up, and ensures compliance with Law No. 8/2005, the Personal Data Protection Act.
7. CEM employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate, ensuring fairness.
8. In case of any disputes, CEM reserves the final right of decision.
