The contest aims to capture Macau's social and cultural essence through photography, showcasing community life, cultural heritage, and urban development. It also aims to raise public awareness of local livelihoods and promote the innovation and popularization of photographic art.
Eligibility:
Open to all ages. Participants must hold a valid Macau Resident Identity Card or residency permit.
Submission Requirements:
Focus on Macau's livelihood development, including but not limited to:
Public facilities: Electrical equipment, transportation infrastructure, educational venues, etc.
Community life: Traditional festivals, daily lives, urban landscapes, etc.
Number of Entries:
Each participant may submit up to 8 photos.
Format Specifications:
Digital format with a resolution of at least 4000x3000 pixels and 300 dpi (JPEG format).
Minor post-processing (e.g., colour/light adjustments) is permitted. Compositing, element removal, or AI-generated content are prohibited.
Black-and-white or colour photos are acceptable.
Originality:
Entries must be original works by the participant, not previously awarded in any other contest or publicly published.
Entries must not infringe on portrait rights, copyrights, or other legal rights.
A judging panel, composed of representatives from the organizer and co-organizer, will evaluate entries based on:
Theme relevance (40%)
Creativity and artistic expression (30%)
Technical skill and composition (30%)
Results & Awards Ceremony:
The winners will be announced on CEM's Facebook page on 6 June 2025 and notified individually.
Terms & Conditions
Participants grant CEM perpetual, non-compensated rights to use entries for promotional, exhibition, publication, or digital platform purposes without further notification to or compensation for the author.
CEM may edit entries (e.g., cropping, colour adjustments) as needed.
Entries violating originality, portrait rights, or other legal requirements will be disqualified. Awards may be revoked.
Winners must provide original RAW files for verification.
Each winner may receive only one award.
The collection of participants’ personal data is solely for the purposes of this event and related follow-up, and ensures compliance with Law No. 8/2005, the Personal Data Protection Act.
CEM employees and their families are ineligible to ensure fairness.
