
The objective aims to establish and maintain a framework to achieve
the objectives and targets. The system will cover all the areas
of activity in the company and will be developed in full respect
for the requirements of the international standards ISO 14001,
ISO 9001:2000 and OSHAS 18001. The whole implementation and certification
of each system will be phased so that the Environment Management
System, the Quality Management System and the Health and Safety
Management Systems will be successively completed from 2005.

The activity of a company like CEM has inevitable impacts in the
environment that can however be reduced. CEM is committed to minimize
its impacts, in a sustainable way, taking account of all associated
aspects. The strategy adopted considers:

At the same time nothing can be done without a complete understanding
and motivation of CEM human resources. In order to improve safety
and health to favorably comparable levels and reduce consequences
of accidents and professional illness. CEM proposes to:

Credibility and Proactivity, require commitment, guidelines from
management (objectives and targets) and confidence from Macau authorities
and sociaty which, in turn, can only be achieved through open communication
and transparency. CEM is committed to improve external communication
with all stakeholders. An environmental report will be published
annually. Policy, will all be publicly disclosed. Interested parties’
complaints will be addressed. CEM will develop an internal culture
by educating awareness and training on SHEQ matters.
