Tariff Group B1 is available to
custumers supplied by medium or low voltage, with subscribed demand
not less than 69 kVA and monthly consumption not less than 10,000
kWh.

B1 - MV supply and metering
B2 - MV supply and LV metering
B3 - LV supply and metering
Consumption
charges under the tariff group B are based
on :
Demand -
Demand in kW calculated by 0.2Pc+0.8Pu
| Pu |
- Highest
Measured demand in kW in a given billing period.
|
| |
- For
tariff class B2, 1% of the highest measured demand is charged
to recover the transformer
winding loss.
|
| |
- For
tariff class B3, 2% of the highest measured demand is charged
to recover the transformer winding loss. and low-voltage
network losses.
|
| Pc |
|
|
-
Pc is updated automatically
by Pu whenever Pu exceeds Pc. It is reduced to the highest
Pu, whenever Pu is lower than Pc throughout a period
of 12 months.
|
Active
Energy - Energy measured in kWh.
- For
tariff class B2, 1% of the highest measured active energy is charged
to recover the transformer winding loss.
- For
tariff class B3, 2% of the measured active energy is charged to
recover the transformer winding loss. and low-voltage network
losses.
Reactive Energy
- Energy measured in kvarh.
- Only the portion of reactive energy that exceeds
60% of active energy in the same tariff period is charged.
- For tariff classes B2 and B3, 10% of active
energy in the same tariff period is charged to recover the transformer
reactive energy loss.
Tariff Clause Adjustment2
- Adjustment in tariff to reflect fluctuation in energy production
cost, that is fixed quarterly.
Government Tax - Monthly
tax payable for the usage of electrical installions.

Wise
Management of Electricity Cost |
- Arrange to consume energy during low-load hours,
as much as possible.
- Reduce reactive energy consumption by installing
compensation equipment like capacitor bank.
- Reduce the simultaneous usage of electrical equipment
to decrease demand charges.
