SMS Payment Reminder Service
With the SMS Payment Reminder Service, you will be reminded to settle the unpaid electricity bill through mobile phone SMS two working days before “Bill Due Date” and “Latest Date to Avoid Disconnection”. For the Autopay user, SMS reminder will only be sent two working days before “Latest Date to Avoid Disconnection”.
The SMS Payment Reminder Service that CEM provides to you is subject to the following terms and conditions. At your application to the SMS Payment Reminder Service, you are required to review and agree the “Terms and Conditions of SMS Payment Reminder Service” as stated on the CEM web pages (hereinafter the “Site”) as well as the application form. If you do not agree the “Terms and Conditions of SMS Payment Reminder Service”, you are not accepted and authorized to use this service.
Terms and Conditions of SMS Payment Reminder Service:
- Companhia de Electricidade de Macau – CEM, S.A., hereinafter referred to as “CEM”, shall undertake to provide the “SMS Payment Reminder Service”, which consists of: reminding the User to settle the unpaid electricity bill through mobile phone SMS at two working days before the “Bill Due Date” and the “Latest Date to Avoid Disconnection” or reminding the Autopay User the unpaid electricity bill through mobile phone SMS at two working days before the “Latest Date to Avoid Disconnection”(hereinafter the “SMS Payment Reminder Service”).
- Subject to these terms and conditions, “User” means every individual or corporate body who has applied the “SMS Payment Reminder Service” from CEM, notwithstanding the User is the own person of the contract holder registered with CEM.
- User is liable to provide CEM with accurate, complete and updated registration information.
- CEM shall undertake to provide a normal and proper operation of “SMS Payment Reminder Service”. CEM shall not guarantee that the content will be error free.
- CEM shall undertake to minimize possible losses or damages arising from transportation errors. CEM shall not bear any responsibility for losses or damages arising from such events.
- CEM reserves the right to change and amend any of these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. User shall be bound by those new and amended terms and conditions accordingly, once such new and amended terms and conditions are posted on the Site. User are responsible for regularly reviewing the updated terms and conditions.
- CEM reserves the right to deactivate or terminate the “SMS Payment Reminder Service” to you without prior notice if new qualified application is accepted by CEM, or if CEM reasonably believes that the User has violated any applicable laws or regulations, committed a breach of these terms and conditions, or infringed any of CEM’s rights or those of a third party.
- You agree that your personal data is collected and used by CEM, and transferred to third parties such as related companies, agents, independent contractors and business associates if it is necessary for supplying the electricity supply related services you may require.
- The application via internet and phone is only applicable to residential customer.
E-Bill Service
With the E-Bill Service, you will receive your electricity bill in electronic format through your designated e-mail address on the “Bill Issue Date”, instead of receiving the paper electricity bill at your billing address referred in the contract. You will also be reminded to settle your unpaid bill to your designated e-mail address at two working days before “Bill Due Date” and “Latest Date to Avoid Disconnection”. For the Autopay user, E-Bill reminder will only be sent two working days before “Latest Date to Avoid Disconnection”.
The E-Bill Service that CEM provides to you is subject to the following terms and conditions. At your application to the E-bill Service, you are required to review and agree the “TERMS and Conditions of E-bill Service” as stated on the CEM web pages (hereinafter the “Site”) as well as on the application form. If you do not agree the “Terms and Conditions of E-bill Service”, you are not accepted and authorized to use this service.
Terms and Conditions of E-bill Service:
- Companhia de Electricidade de Macau – CEM, S.A., hereinafter referred to as “CEM”, shall undertake to provide the “E-bill Service”, which consists of (i) delivering to the Customer the electricity bill in electronic format through the e-mail address designated by the Customer on the “Bill Issue Date” instead of delivering the paper electricity bill to the billing address of the Customer; and (ii)reminding the Customer to settle the unpaid bill through the e-mail address designated by the customer at 2 working days before Bill Due Date and Latest Date or reminding the Autopay Customer to settle the unpaid bill through the e-mail address designated by the customer at 2 working days before Latest Date (hereinafter the “E-bill Service”).
- Subject to these terms and conditions, “Customer” means every individual or corporate body who has applied the “E-bill Service” from CEM and registered with CEM as a contract holder.
- Customer is liable to provide CEM with accurate, complete and updated registration information.
- The Customer’s right to use the “E-bill Service” is personal and non-transferable. Customer shall be fully responsible for any unlawful use of the “E-bill Service” by means of his email address, user ID and password, including the unlawful use by third parties.
- CEM shall undertake to provide a normal and proper operation of “E-bill Service”. CEM shall not guarantee that the content will be error free or the server that operates it is free of virus or other harmful components.
- With subscription of the “E-bill”, Customer agrees that the detailed monthly electricity bill previously sent to his billing address shall be replaced by an electronic bill sent to his designated e-mail address.
- If you do not receive your "E-bill" for any reason not imputable to CEM, you are liable to settle the bills on or before the assigned “Bill Due date”. All consequences of overdue payment of the Customer shall be subject to the terms of “Standard Conditions of Supply of Electricity” as referred at the supply contract of CEM and the Customer.
- CEM shall undertake to minimize possible losses or damages arising from transportation errors. CEM shall not bear any responsibility for losses or damages arising from such events.
- CEM reserves the right to change and amend any of these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
