1. How to Apply for Change of Subscribed Demand?

Applicant:

• Must be the electricity supply contract holder

Documents required:

• ID copy of applicant [1]

Charges:

• Additional connection charges are applied if the requested subscribed demand is higher than the registered supply capacity for the premises
• Job cost (if necessary)
• Difference of existing and newly required deposit

Time elapsed:

• Within three working days [2] [3]

Remarks:

• If the applicant is under a company name, copy of business registration is required
• If subscribed demand exceeds 13.8kVA,, a 7th Category License issued by the Lands, Public Works & Transport Bureau (DSSOPT) and name of qualified electrician (registered in CEM) responsible for electrical installation are required

2. How to Apply for Change of Contract Name?

Applicant:

• Must be a property owner/tenant

Documents required:

• If the applicant is the property owner:
  — ID Copy of the property owner [1]
  — Copy of Property Registration Report issued by CRPM (valid within three months) [4]
  — Electricity bill

• If the applicant is the tenant:
  — ID copies of both owner and tenant [1]
  — Original and copy of lease
  — Copy of Property Registration Report issued by CRPM
  — Electricity bill

For lease with testimony by lawyer, ID copy of the owner is not required.

Charges:

• Outstanding balance of the applied contract
• Deposit (according to the subscribed demand)

Time elapsed:

• Immediately

Remarks:

• If the applicant is under a company name, copy of business registration is required
• If subscribed demand exceeds 13.8kVA, a 7th Category License issued by the Lands, Public Works & Transport Bureau (DSSOPT) and name of qualified electrician (registered in CEM) responsible for electrical installation are required
