1. How to Apply for Change of Subscribed Demand?
Applicant:
- Must be the electricity supply contract holder
Documents required:
- ID copy of applicant [1]
Charges:
- Additional connection charges are applied if the requested subscribed demand is higher than the registered supply capacity for the premises
- Job cost (if necessary)
- Difference of existing and newly required deposit
Time elapsed:
Remarks:
- If the applicant is under a company name, copy of business registration is required
- If subscribed demand exceeds 13.8kVA,, a 7th Category License issued by the Lands, Public Works & Transport Bureau (DSSOPT) and name of qualified electrician (registered in CEM) responsible for electrical installation are required
2. How to Apply for Change of Contract Name?
Applicant:
- Must be a property owner/tenant
Documents required:
- If the applicant is the property owner:
— ID Copy of the property owner [1]
— Copy of Property Registration Report issued by CRPM (valid within three months) [4]
— Electricity bill
- If the applicant is the tenant:
— ID copies of both owner and tenant [1]
— Original and copy of lease
— Copy of Property Registration Report issued by CRPM
— Electricity bill
For lease with testimony by lawyer, ID copy of the owner is not required.
Charges:
- Outstanding balance of the applied contract
- Deposit (according to the subscribed demand)
Time elapsed:
- Immediately
Remarks:
- If the applicant is under a company name, copy of business registration is required
- If subscribed demand exceeds 13.8kVA, a 7th Category License issued by the Lands, Public Works & Transport Bureau (DSSOPT) and name of qualified electrician (registered in CEM) responsible for electrical installation are required
Notes:
[1] BIR, HK ID, PRC ID or Passports of different countries
[2] Refers to free access to the electrical installation
[3] Refers to the approval of the electrical work needed on the installation and payment of respective charges
[4] Copy of property transaction contract/Three-party contract/Housing Deed/latest property tax document/Stamp duty (M1 & M2) can be provided but is subject to approval.
